On September 9, 2023, the 22nd AMBA&BGA Business School Capacity-Building workshop was held in Chengdu. The meeting was convened by Professor Wang Chongming, the general director of AMBA&BGA Accreditation Association in China, a senior professor of Humanities and Social Sciences at Zhejiang University, a special expert in Zhejiang Province, and the director of the global entrepreneurship research center at Zhejiang University. The school of management and economics of UESTC and the Global Entrepreneurship Research Center of Zhejiang University and the Chengdu cooperation demonstration base of the International Silk Road Entrepreneurship Education Alliance jointly hosted. Deans, experts and scholars from 53 colleges and universities in different regions attended the meeting. Associate professor Chen Xingyu (associate dean of SZUCM) and Wang Huiru (deputy director of SZUCM’s International Affairs Office) attended the meeting.

The theme of this conference is "high-quality case teaching and development". During the morning session, Professor Wang Chongming presided over the opening ceremony. Professor Wang pointed out that since 2020, AMBA&BGA members have generally reshaped the vision and strategy of high-quality international development, improved the MBA and undergraduate model professional training programs, set up core courses and optimized a number of high-quality demonstration courses, and promoted the strategic cooperation among colleges and universities. Zeng Yong, President of UESTC, and Chen Xu, Dean of the School of Economics and Management of UESTC, made an opening speech. After this, Dean Ye Xin from the School of Economics and Management of Dalian University of Technology, Dean Chen Xiaofang from the School of Management of Wuhan University of Technology, Dean Tang Ningyu from the School of International Business of Hainan University, Director Xiong Wei from the case center of UIBE Business School, Associate Dean Xiao Yangao from the school of economics and management of UESTC, gave presentations on the promotion of international accreditation capacity building and high-quality development of disciplines and specialties based on case teaching and development.

In the afternoon session, three forums were held in the form of a round table forum. 16 experts from Shenzhen University and other institutions shared the characteristics, experience, opportunities and challenges of case teaching in various colleges with different themes, and interacted with the audience. Vice Dean Chen Xingyu was invited to participate in the discussion of the forum. She talked about the case development and case teaching practice from the perspectives of a teacher and a manager, which received overwhelming response.

Being invited to attend this meeting is an important opportunity for the college to promote international accreditation and accelerate the construction of curriculum reform. In the future, the college will promote the international accreditation work in a more standardized and efficient manner based on its own development, strengthen exchanges and cooperation, implement the new development concept, and continuously promote the high-quality development of the college and MBA education. Also, our college should highlight the characteristics of localized case teaching methods in case development, encourage innovation, develop cases related to the "one belt and one road" and "sustainability" themes, improve the development of case teaching resources.
