On the morning of August 19, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Associate Dean Chen Xingyu of Shenzhen University's College of Management hosted a talent attraction seminar at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Later that afternoon, another seminar was organized at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Both events aimed to attract young scholars from Singapore to join the College of Management and to pave the way for the upcoming Shenzhen University Young Scientists Forum Singapore Sub-forum in October, fostering a strong academic atmosphere and anticipation.
Associate Dean Chen began with a brief introduction to the College of Management, followed by a detailed overview of Shenzhen University's talent policies, covering aspects such as salary, research funding, research team support, and living conditions. Special emphasis was placed on the "Hundred Talents Program" and the "Overseas Outstanding Youth" project, outlining their systems and policies.
The seminar attracted over 30 students from various colleges. During the seminar, Associate Dean Chen engaged in in-depth discussions with the students, addressing their questions about research directions and future planning. She also held detailed conversations with attending faculty members, exchanging views on academic collaboration and talent cultivation.
In the afternoon, Associate Dean Chen organized another exchange session at NUS, continuing discussions with Singaporean scholars on related topics. Both activities yielded positive outcomes, solidifying the foundation for cooperation and exchange between Shenzhen University's College of Management and Singaporean universities.
The success of these talent attraction seminars not only demonstrates the College of Management's commitment and efforts in talent acquisition but also enhances the college's influence and reputation in the international academic community. To further promote exchanges with overseas talents and attract outstanding individuals to join the university, the Human Resources Department, in collaboration with the College of Management, plans to Singapore on October 9th to host the Young Scientists Forum.
