Shenzhen University College of Management “Hundred Talents Program” Recruitment Announcement

INTRODUCTION TO THE UNIVERSITY AND COLLEGE

Shenzhen University (SZU) which is based in Shenzhen, China's first Special Economic Zone and a key city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, is established in 1983 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. In the past four decades, sticking to the motto of “self-reliance, self-discipline, self-improvement” and implementing a high-level university construction strategy, the university has undergone rapid growth and has become a comprehensive university with complete disciplines, top-ranked academic and research institutes and awe-inspiring faculty.

The College of Management at Shenzhen University (SZUCM) is committed to being recognized as the most influential management school in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It offers a full range of programs from bachelor's to doctoral degrees. SZUCM has developed a total of 5 departments including Business Administration, Management Science, E-Commerce, Human Resource Management and Marketing. Among the 148 faculty members, 59% hold senior titles and nearly 50% are classified as high-level talents. The College has obtained both AACSB Accreditation (in 2023) and BGA Gold Medal Accreditation (in 2024). These two accreditations indicate that the College has reached international standards in international education, teaching quality, and research level.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Complying with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and have a passion for teaching and scientific research. possessing good teaching ethics, adhere to academic integrity, work diligently, have no criminal record, and no history of disciplinary action for violating teaching ethics or academic integrity.

2. Have high potential for innovation and development, a strong sense of enterprise, responsibility and teamwork.

3. Applicants must be in good health and capable of working full-time at SZU. The age limit is 35 years, with a relaxation to 37 years for female applicants. For those in the fields of humanities and social sciences, the maximum age limit may be relaxed, but it should not exceed 40 years.

4. Have a good educational background and a doctoral degree from a renowned university or research institution.

5. Strong research skills and sense of innovation; influential research achievements; rank top among scholars of the same age group in the field of his/her discipline in terms of academic level.


REQUIREMENTS

1. Professor

Have experience of working as associate professor or above in well-known universities or research institutions in China, or hold an official teaching position in famous overseas universities; have cutting edge research achievements and academic influence; be able to independently develop an academic direction; rank top among scholars of the same age group in the field of his/her discipline in terms of academic level and development potential.

2. Associate Professor

Have more than 2 years of scientific research experience in well-known universities or research institutions; have outstanding research achievements; rank top among scholars of the same age group in the field of his/her discipline in terms of academic level and development potential.

3. Assistant Professor

Have strong research skills, sense of innovation, teamwork and development potential; have influential research achievements; rank top among scholars of the same age group in the field of his/her discipline in terms of academic level.


COMPREHENSIVE WAGE

1. Comprehensive annual salary for Assistant Professors are CNY 600,000 and above; Associate Professors are CNY 690,000 and above; Professors are CNY 830,000 and above.

2. Candidates will receive a remuneration of CNY 240,000 per year under the “Hundred Talents Program” for a period of 6 years after their appointment.

3. Candidates can also enjoy an annual allowance of CNY 240,000 as Category C talents in the Pengcheng Peacock Plan incentives, distributed over a period of 3 years.

4. Candidates who satisfy the conditions for newly introduced doctoral talents in Shenzhen are eligible to apply for a living subsidy of CNY 100,000.

5. One-time position allowance from the College of Management:Assistant Professor CNY 60,000, Associate Professor CNY 80,000, Professor CNY 100,000.


WORKING CONDITIONS

1. SZU shall provide adequate office and laboratory space, as well as research start-up funds ranging from CNY 1 million to CNY 3.3 million.

2. Those appointed as PhD supervisor will be assigned at least one admission quota of master’s students each year for the first three years of the appointment period and shall enjoy the priority of obtaining the admission quota of PhD students.

3. Successful candidates are encouraged to build a team and one full-time researcher will be appointed for the team.

4. A long-term assessment mechanism will be employed to facilitate academic research.

3. Education support: SZU provides complete education services for the children of faculty and staff with three kindergartens, four primary schools and four secondary schools under the SZU Affiliated Education Group.
