The Department of Business Administration (BA) was founded in September 1983, with enrollment of 220 undergraduate students on average each year.
Our faculty operates at the intersection between managerial theories and Chinese practices, achieving remarkable achievements in the cutting-edge researches of Strategy Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Green Supply Chain Management, and so on. We provide rigorous business training to the students to direct the real-world business practices and pave the road to a successful career. The graduates from Department of BA are gaining recognition and praises by the employers ranging from consulting, finance, logistics and culture to the high-tech industries. More than 20 percent graduates pursue their higher degrees, Master or Doctor, in the renowned universities of the U.S., Europe, Hong Kong etc. Besides, the English-taught bachelor program is offered by the department and the students are encouraged to obtain one or two semesters overseas exchange experience.
For the young students who pursue to start their own business but lack of business knowledge, the Department of BA offers the packaged managerial skill courses in the Entrepreneurship Elite Program. They will benefit not only from the courses such as strategy management, quantitative analysis or entrepreneurial finance, but also from the new insights and fresh ideas their peers share. This would assist students to become trailblazers in their own niche-markets in the future.
Bachelor of Management in Business Administration (BBA) is the largest major in terms of the number of students. BBA has designed professional core courses including mathematical foundation courses and management foundation courses. Current core courses are: principle of management science, microeconomics, business accounting, introduction to marketing, strategic management of business etc.
Elective courses are divided into four modules: innovation and strategy, operation and decision-making, finance and investment, and international business & management consulting.
Two special programs are offered in this degree program: Full English-taught Program and Entrepreneurial Elite Program. The core courses of the first special program are all taught in English, aiming at cultivating future entrepreneurs and professional managers with international vision and innovative spirit. The other program emphasizes entrepreneurship theory and practice, aiming at cultivating future entrepreneurs with entrepreneurship.
