The Enlightenment Forum (No. 65) was successfully held offline
On November 16, 2022 (Wednesday), the offline lecture of the Enlightenment Forum (No. 65) of the Department of Business Administration was successfully held in MingLi A402. The guest speaker of this lecture was JIANG Qijie, assistant professor of College of Management, Shenzhen University. His main research areas were tourism destination management, tourist behavior and social tourism. He published many research papers in journals such as Annals of Tourism Research.
In this lecture, Dr. JIANG Qijie shared his latest research "the fundamental motivation of tourists in black tourism destinations and its influence on experience and post-travel willingness from the perspective of evolutionary psychology ". Dr. JIANG Qijie firstly explained what the black tourism was, then pointed out that the research focused on natural disaster areas. He posed some problems existing in the development of black tourism. Afterwards, he pointed out that the existing research often examined the superficial motivation of tourists but it was difficult to truly reveal the underlying psychological mechanism of tourists. Therefore, he put forward two key issues (i.e. "the fundamental motivation of tourists to visit black tourist destinations" and "the relationship between the fundamental motivation and tourists' experience and post-tour behavior") and gave his analysis with four sections in his presentation. Finally, Dr. JIANG Qijie discussed the issue with the teachers and students attending the meeting.
The Enlightenment Forums of the Department of Business Administration aim to focus on the most cutting-edge academic research for teachers and students, exploring the most valuable academic issues and hoping to encourage teachers and students to think and innovate.
