On October 18, 2025, Professor Lin Jianwu from Tsinghua University, a leading expert in quantitative investment and artificial intelligence, shared his insights at Shenzhen University's Lihu Campus. The lecture, titled "Quantitative Investment and Artificial Intelligence," was attended by MBA students and faculty, including Professor Lin Xudong from College of Management, Shenzhen University.

Professor Lin introduced the core principles of AI-driven quantitative investment, explaining how data-driven decision-making and model-based risk control enhance traditional finance. He outlined the evolution of quantitative strategies—from classic approaches to multi-factor models and now dynamic AI systems—enabling a shift from linear to non-linear market analysis.

The session highlighted AI applications across four key areas: Data Processing: Using NLP to analyze unstructured data、Strategy Optimization: Leveraging LSTM/Transformer models to adapt to market changes、Risk Management: Simulating extreme scenarios to strengthen resilience、High-Frequency Trading: Balancing low-latency execution with compliance.

Professor Lin also addressed industry challenges such as data quality and talent shortages, while pointing to emerging trends like multi-modal data integration and human-AI collaboration in investment decisions.
