On the morning of May 13, 2026, the 37th Youth Scientist Forum of SZU was held in Room A302, Mingli Building, Lihu Campus. Hosted by Vice Dean Chen Xingyu, it invited Dr. Zhang Han from Hong Kong Baptist University to deliver a keynote report on AI chatbot empathy and paper publication, with over 30 teachers and students attending.

Dr. Zhang shared his latest research in MIS Quarterly, finding that chatbot empathy after service failure may trigger customers’ psychological reactance and reduce satisfaction. He also offered key tips for paper submission from his perspective as Editor-in-Chief of Information & Management.

In the interaction, teachers and students exchanged ideas with Dr. Zhang, who encouraged young scholars with a real revision case. Vice Dean Chen summarized that the report provided valuable academic insights.
