On the morning of March 25, 2026, the 28th Youth Scientist Forum of SZUCM was held in Room A205, Mingli Building, Lihu Campus. Hosted by Vice Dean Chen Xingyu, it invited Professor Chee Wei (David) Phang from the University of Nottingham Ningbo China to deliver a keynote report on the innovative application of augmented reality (AR) technology in marketing and green consumption, with over 30 teachers and students attending.

Professor Phang, a Chair Professor of Behavioral Insights and Decision Science, has rich research experience in mobile commerce and IT application in sustainable development. His research results are published in top international journals, and he serves as an associate editor of several renowned journals, being repeatedly listed in Elsevier's "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers".

In his report, Professor Phang elaborated on AR's application potential and design strategies in marketing, emphasizing its value in integrating virtual and real worlds. He shared multiple empirical studies, including AR visual design, green consumption promotion and mixed reality experiments, and exchanged in-depth views with teachers and students in the interactive session.

Vice Dean Chen summarized that the report presented a complete research paradigm and provided valuable inspiration for interdisciplinary research. As a brand activity, the forum will continue to focus on digital economy and emerging technologies to boost the college’s discipline construction and talent training.
