On the afternoon of April 11, 2026, the 35th Youth Scientist Forum of SZUCM was held in Room B104, Mingli Building, Lihu Campus. Hosted by Vice Dean Chen Xingyu, it invited Dr. Liao Chenxi, Associate Professor from the Department of Marketing at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, to deliver a keynote report on synthetic corpus in generative AI optimization, with over 30 teachers and students attending.

Dr. Liao Chenxi, an Associate Professor at CUHK, holds a PhD in Management Science and focuses on competitive strategy, digital marketing and other fields. Her research results are published in top international journals, and she currently serves as a member of the editorial board of Marketing Science.

In her report, Dr. Liao elaborated on Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and the double-edged effect of synthetic corpus: it helps products get recommendations but may arouse consumer suspicion. She shared core research findings based on game theory models and had in-depth interactions with teachers and students in the Q&A session.

Vice Dean Chen summarized that the report provided important insights for platform regulation and enterprise strategy. As a brand activity, the forum will continue to focus on digital economy and AI-related fields to promote interdisciplinary integration and the college’s development.
