On the afternoon of May 10, 2024, organized by the Management College, the "Famous Teachers Enter High School" activity visited Zheng Yutong High School in Shunde. Professor Huang Longbiao from the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering gave a lecture titled "Plastics, enhancing a Better Life," aiming to popularize plastic science knowledge and raise students' interest.

Before the lecture began, Vice Principal Wu Qianbo of Zheng Yutong High School welcomed Professor Huang and other teachers, expressing gratitude on behalf of the school. His speech reflected the school's emphasis on educational exchange and respect for academic sharing.

Professor Huang introduced Shenzhen University with historical and architectural images, showcasing its vibrant and innovative spirit, as well as detailed information about the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering.

He explained the development history of plastics and their manufacturing processes for different products, guiding students into a world full of wonders and challenges. Then, he showcased the wide applications of plastics, from daily life items to high-tech fields like aerospace and medical devices.

Finally, Professor Huang discussed the recycling and reuse of plastics, emphasizing that everyone has a role in addressing plastic pollution. He introduced methods such as biodegradable and chemical degradation to turn waste plastics into resources, protecting the environment while reusing plastics.

During the lecture, Professor Huang frequently interacted with the students by asking questions and giving out small gifts. The lecture concluded with enthusiastic applause from the students, enriching their knowledge and illuminating their path in scientific exploration.
