On June 15, 2024, the award ceremony for the second Teaching Achievement Awards of the China Human Resources Development Research Association and the third forum on the development of human resource management disciplines were held at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. The textbook "Human Resource Management in Entrepreneurial Firms," edited by Professor Jiang Jianwu and Dr. Pan Yanping from Shenzhen University, won the first prize (the highest award) in the Excellent Textbook category. This is another honor for the textbook, following its recognition as an outstanding textbook for innovation and entrepreneurship education in Guangdong Province in 2022.

Founded in 1988, the China Human Resources Development Research Association is a national-level social organization under the supervision of the National Development and Reform Commission. As the most authoritative and influential body in China's human resources development field, the association focuses on advancing professional standards in human resources, promoting theoretical and practical developments, and fostering teaching and research. The awards it presents aim to recognize significant contributions by educators and scholars in the field.

"Human Resource Management in Entrepreneurial Firms" is one of the earliest textbooks in China dedicated to the comprehensive discussion of human resource management in entrepreneurial firms. It covers both theoretical frameworks and practical operations, supported by numerous real-world cases, providing rich learning resources and practical guidance for students. The textbook addresses a gap in the domestic market for such materials and offers valuable support for teaching in human resource management for entrepreneurial firms.

Winning the first prize in the Excellent Textbook Award is a high recognition of Shenzhen University's achievements in textbook writing and educational research. It also highlights the university's position and overall strength in entrepreneurship education and human resource management teaching.
