On October 18, 2025, a faculty-student team from our school– as part of its social practice series for supporting surrounding communities – conducted field research at the East Goat Breeding Base in Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone. This research also serves as a key segment of the "Marketing Research" practical training program.

The activity focused on two core objectives: First, to bridge the gap between classroom teaching and industrial practice, enabling students to deeply integrate marketing expertise with characteristic agricultural products and breeding scenarios, fulfill course requirements, and strengthen their ability to address real-world industrial challenges. Second, to leverage professional advantages, focus on development bottlenecks of rural characteristic agricultural products, and gain first-hand insights into the East Goat industry's needs in product promotion and market visibility enhancement – laying a solid foundation for subsequent research and tailored solution formulation.

During the research, the faculty-student team toured the East Goat breeding base. Mr. Peng Zhanxiong, the base director, provided detailed briefings on the black goat breed, production cycle, ecological breeding model, and the current sales model of "relying on offline self-operated stores". Based on the base's actual conditions, the team held in-depth discussions with Mr. Peng on topics such as "how to build a regional brand for characteristic sheep products". Students collected on-site data, organized identified needs, and proposed preliminary research directions, including "brand naming research", "sales promotion via KOLs", and "integrated agritourism homestays".
Moving forward, the team will conduct targeted market research based on the enterprise's needs and compile relevant recommendation reports, aiming to boost the quality and efficiency of the black goat industry in Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone. This initiative fully showcases the School of Management's achievements in integrating industry, education, and research through practical market research, and further affirms the business school's positive contributions and far-reaching influence in supporting the high-quality development of surrounding communities.
