To cultivate practical management elites with social responsibility and innovation, on September 10, 2023, SZUCM successfully held the final of the "Shenzhen University Alumni Cup" IPP Innovation Elite Competition at Lihu Campus.
Zhang Xiaohong, Vice President of Shenzhen University, He Yanhui, Director of the Alumni Liaison Department of Shenzhen University, Zhang Weiguo, Dean of the College of Management, He Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee, Tengfei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Ding Wanling, Member of the Party Committee, Huang Kaishan, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of Shenzhen University, Zhang Jiangle, Director of the Competition Office of the School of Management, and Li Yun, Director of the EDP Center of Shenzhen University, attended the award ceremony.
44 projects from 21 colleges across the university had entered the finals of the competition, with a total of 296 students and alumni participating in this competition. In addition, 22 well-known venture capital institutional investors, unicorn founders, and well-known corporate executives were invited to serve as judges for the competition; 23 alumni and innovative mentors from the College of Management, as well as over 600 new students from the College of Management, watched the competition together.
The event is divided into two stages: road shows and an award ceremony, with a total of 44 teams participating in the final. Among them, there are 10 Idea tracks, 22 Plan tracks, and 12 Entrepreneurship Project tracks. After intense competition, 22 awards were ultimately awarded. Among them, the Entrepreneurial Project track has one gold medal, two silver medals, and three bronze medals, the Innovation Plan track has one gold medal, two silver medals, and three bronze medals, and the Creative Idea track has one gold medal, three silver medals, and six bronze medals. The total prize money for the competition is 363,000 yuan (all sponsored by alumni from the College of Management).
