On December 5, 2020, the 6th Management Innovation Dialogue Forum 2020 (SMIDF2020) was held in the No. 1 Lecture Hall, Huixing Building, Yuehai Campus of Shenzhen University and the number of viewers watching live exceeded 22,000. The forum is hosted by Shenzhen University and organized by College of Management, Shenzhen University. Since it launched, it has been widely concerned not only with business but academia.
Year 2020 happened to be the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.Focusing on the topic of Management Innovation in the Construction of Dual Districts under the Background of Great Changes, this discussion deepened Shenzhen’s role as a significant engine of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and probed into problem over the management models and management innovation under the pilot demonstration area for socialism with Chinses characteristics.
Professor Ma Weihong, Vice Dean of College of Management, Shenzhen University, presided over the opening ceremony and the special sessions. Professor Lili, Dean of College of Management, Shenzhen University, hailed the forum over the past six years as the trend of the times, the principle of openness and inclusiveness, the intention of originality and authenticity.
After the completion of signing a cooperation agreement among SZUCM, SF Express and China Academy of Science and Technology, Professor Zhou Zhimin, Vice Dean of College of Management, released China's city creativity index 2020 (CCCI 2020), which is of great significance in improving Shenzhen’s cultural industry policy and enhancing the competitiveness of it.
In Speech and Dialogue 1, Management Mode under the Integration of Industry and Research, Yang Bin, president of China Academy of Science and Technology, and Gan Ling, secretary of the board of SF Express, respectively expressed views regarding the connection between business administration and practice innovation. Subsequently, Professor Zhang Mu, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Shenzhen Campus of Jinan University and Deputy Director of the Management Committee, Professor He Heping, Associate Professor Lin Mei and industry guests exchanged views over how to make breakthroughs, attract talents and further innovations.
In Speech and Dialogue 2, Management Innovation under Technological Change, Xu Jianhua, vice president of Tubatu, Yang Qiongna, president of Rouyu College, introduced their achievements of scientific and technological research and development. Professor Lin Danming, Vice President of Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Professor Zhang Lingying, Lecturer Kong Rui, together with industry guests, discussed the role of corporate culture and technological innovation in promoting corporate development.
In Speech and Dialogue 3, Management Exploration under the coordination of the Bay Area, Jiang Yuanyuan, assistant to the Chairman of Qianhai Investment Holdings, Mu Yang, director of the Greater Bay Area of Shenzhen Airlines Business Travel, delivered speeches on innovative management practices in the Bay Area. Xie Zhikui, Deputy Dean of Shenzhen Academy of Social Sciences, Associate Professor Yu Wensheng, Assistant Professor Fu Yang put forward a hot discussion on the Bay Area’s collaborative infrastructure and communication mechanism.
After the Dialogue, He Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee of SZUCM, summed up that this forum not only provides a good platform for the deep integration of management practice and management science, but also intelligent support and policy guidance for management innovation under the new situation.
So far, the 6th Shenzhen Management Innovation Dialogue Forum was brought to a successful close.
