On 12 March 2026, the College of Management (SZUCM) at Shenzhen University convened the AACSB International re-Accreditation Kick-off Meeting, officially initiating the school’s AACSB accreditation preparation. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Chen Xingyu, Vice Dean in charge of Internationalization and Talent Recruitment, and organized by the International Development Office. Attendees included department director and representative faculty from each descipline, with the attendee being recorded: Guo Hainan, Su Fangguo, Chu Dazhi, Liu Shixiong, Lai Xiaofan, Qian Xiaohu, Zhang Xueyang, Pang Chen, Li Aijun, Zhang Ruina, and Wang Huiru. Specifically, we invited a third party, the former executive dean of our college, Dr. Michael T.S. Lee to attend the meeting and gave some guidance.

Participants reviewed AACSB’s core standards, clarified the overall roadmap, key milestones and task division. The meeting also aligned consensus on cross-team collaboration to drive steady progress. AACSB accreditation is a global benchmark for business education excellence. SZUCM aims to obtain the accreditation to further enhance its international reputation and align with global best practices. By september, 2026, the college would be ready to submit the re-accreditation application.
