The "New Knowledge Forum on Human Resource Management (HRM)" is an academic series forum established by the College of Management's Department of Human Resource Management. It invites scholars specializing in the field of human resource management to present reports, engage in discussions, and communicate on significant theoretical and practical issues. The aim is to provide a platform for sharing and exchanging cutting-edge academic and practical insights for both faculty and students.

Topic: "Individuals and Organizations in the Era of Data Intelligence"

Speaker: Professor Li Yuhui (School of Labor and Human Resources, Renmin University of China)

Moderator: Professor Su Fangguo (Director of the Department of Human Resource Management, College of Management, Shenzhen University)

Speaker's Bio:

Li Yuhui is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Labor and Human Resources, Renmin University of China. He serves as the Director of the Domestic Cooperation Affairs Center, Executive Council Member of the Chinese Association for Labor and Human Resources, and Vice President of the Human Resource Division of the China Association of Labor Economics. His research focuses on organizational behavior and management phenomena in the local context. He has made significant contributions in areas such as leadership and team innovation, the new generation of workplace networks and adaptability, and big data and organizational behavior research. He has published over 60 articles in domestic and international core academic journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and the "Acta Psychologica Sinica." He has authored six books. He has received multiple awards for teaching and research and was selected as one of the first batch of "Young Talents Program" in Beijing in 2013. He has provided consulting and training services for over a hundred enterprises and institutions, including the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Education, China Bank, Shell, Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent, ByteDance, Xiaomi, Meituan, Farasis Energy, China North Industries Group Corporation, Sany Heavy Industry, and more. Since 2010, he has led the "Workplace Research Project" focusing on the development of the Chinese workplace ecosystem. He has produced a series of results, including "Characteristics and Motivation of the New Generation in the Workplace" and "2022 White Paper on the Development of the Chinese Workplace Population," which have been cited or reprinted by People's Daily, Sanlian Life Weekly, and other media, providing effective advice for the sustainable development of the current workplace population.

Summary:

The digital transformation of organizations has brought new challenges and changes to traditional human resource management. With the advancement of artificial intelligence technology, the relationship between individuals and organizations is also evolving. The speaker has conducted extensive corporate research on digital transformation over the past decade and has produced a series of reports, including the "White Paper on the Digital Maturity of Chinese Enterprises" and the "Survey Report on Issues and Needs of Digital Transformation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises." At the same time, he focuses on the impact of technology on individual creativity, team collaboration, leadership effectiveness, and conducts a series of empirical studies. This presentation will provide insights from both individual and organizational perspectives, discussing new forms of management in the context of data intelligence and how to choose research topics and achieve results in this age.
