Jihong Chen is Distinguished Professor at Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, China and Dean of Shenzhen International Maritime Institute. He worked in Shanghai Maritime University for more than ten years in Shanghai, China, as a Professor and Chair of the Department of Management. H-index: about 40 (Google)

His research expertise includes ocean and coastal management, port and shipping management, maritime management and policy, ocean and maritime environmental governance. He has published more than 270 academic papers, including publications on Nature、Transportation Research A/D/E、Ocean & Coastal Management、Marine Policy、Transport Policy、Journal of Transport Geography、Ocean Engineering、Marine Pollution Bulletin、Journal of Navigation、Computers & Industrial Engineering、International Journal of Production Research、Annals of Operations Research、Reliability Engineering & System Safety、Science of the Total Environment and Journal of Environmental Management. He has conducted more than 90 international, national, provincial and other marine projects, and has won more than 20 awards from the government, industry associations, maritime departments, etc. He was an associate editor of Regional Studied in Marine Science(RSMA), and now serves as an editor-in-chief of Ocean and Coastal Management (OCMA), and editorial board member for Marine Policy and several other journals. He is an expert member or scholar of many marine academic institutions and maritime enterprises.
